[[Martian Press]] is a [[Los Angeles]]–based [[Risograph]] press that publishes artwork and writing with a focus on queerness, speculative fiction, and utopianism. It was founded in [[Milwaukee|Milwaukee, Wisconsin]], in 2015 by Stephanie Lane Gage, who continues to operate it. == History == Martian Press was established in 2015 after Gage’s graduation from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. The press relocated to Los Angeles in 2017, first operating from Gage’s apartment and later from a studio in the Toy District of Downtown Los Angeles. In 2019, Gage presented the press at the [[North American Risograph Conference]] in Chicago. In 2023, after earning an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, Gage moved Martian Press to its current studio in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. == Exhibitions == Martian Press has exhibited at more than 50 art book and zine fairs worldwide. {{Inventory}}
