SNAKE HAIR is an independent publisher of zines, handmade ritual multiples, and folk magic, currently based on occupied Narragansett, Wampanoag, and Pokanoket land (so-called Providence RI). We are invested in dismantling the white supremacist cis het patriarchy and dedicated to recognizing how those in power have used storytelling and reproducible media to control history, and how marginalized communities have used independent publishing to tell their own stories and fight back against oppressive systems. Committed to the inherent egalitarian nature of print, a portion of all of our proceeds are redistributed to groups working to create a more equitable society. All of our apothecary and folk magic offerings are available on a sliding scale.
