We’ve gotten to know our local publishing ecosystem through opening our home print shop to friends and strangers for “Open Copy.”
There are a variety of ways to get a short run publication printed in the Twin Cities, but we see a tangible need for a publishing-focused space that can host workshops.
While it’s true that independent publishing often functions on the margins with a minimum of resources, we recognize a need for reliable access to printing and binding equipment, in a space that is artist friendly and dedicated to the activity of publishing.
While we take a broad view of publishing, we expect WIP to be especially useful to people making zines, chapbooks, comics, pamphlets, and artist publications.
Join us for Open Copy Saturdays from 11am-5pm!
