Stencil:Roadmap

This page is a way to outline + plan what's coming next for this wiki. It is primarily used internally among the developers and active editors of this project (acting as a broad to-do list), but can be shared publicly to share what's in the pipeline.

Resources

Multiple resource pages need to be migrated from the old wiki along with resources that Anemone and Robert Baxter will shift from personal blogs + notes + threads into pages on here. Many of these will take the form of Category:Tutorials but there might be other resource types as well.

Master removal transport band replacement (Z+) Master removal transport band replacement (RP/RN)	Tutorial	How to replace the transport bands (o-rings). I think one article should be generalized for all Z+ machines, with some extra notes on the slightly different procedure for the paper ejection side of two-drum machines. It should also include sizing notes for replacing these with generic o-rings. Manual drum removal	Tutorial	The original is partial instructions for manually unlocking a drum from an RP (which is more complex process than all other models). We can generalize this to just manually unlocking a drum, with sections for the 3 main different types of machines. This page should start with a big disclaimer that this should be done carefully, because there's a chance that your drum is stuck on something, and forcing it out will damage it (the full instructions for which deserve their own article—maybe Drum extraction). Replacing the separator collar (GR/FR) Replacing the separator collar (RP/RN)	Tutorial	A common repair that needs to be made for older machines, or else the separator needle is much more likely to catch on the drum/clamp. Splitting color-separated PDFs with Acrobat and Distiller	Tutorial	From an article called "Extracting spot color separations from single PDF"—instructions on using Acrobat + Distiller (specifically on a PC) to generate black + white extractions.
